PREPARING FOR A POWER SWING
PRO POWER SWING TRAINING
“Engage your core with a controlled turn of your front knee. Additionally, you’re practicing to hit a power fastball with a top hand release swing. You’re fighting your natural swing path for this location, currently; your swing path for deeper contact is short-to-long; you need to change to a short-to-short and flat circumference. Solution: Warming up in the on-deck-circle, practice a Laser Blast swing using a two-handed finish for up-and-in or deeper contact areas; preparing for a dominant 95+ mph pitcher. Conversely, practice a Laser Whip swing, using a top-hand release finish to allow for more extension; mentally and physically preparing for a pitch on the outside edge of home plate.”
